The camp of the DHS Aspirants in Cameroon took place on 10-13 April 2017, bringing together thirteen young girls from Maroua-Mokolo and Yagoua dioceses, accompanied by five Sisters... The basic sharing with the aspirants and theme of the session was “Marie Balavenne, foundress of the Daughters of the Holy Spirit”.
On Saturday, January 21st the whole world seemed to rally under a united banner to advance the cause of justice and to protect basic human/women’s rights. Marches in Paris, London, Sidney, etc., underscored the seriousness of this purpose and the involvement of millions of people around the globe.

This was the 5th time -an event which takes place every second year- that the local pastoral youth movement around Ploërmel, at the very heart of Brittany, France, enacted a living Christmas crib. This year, it was on Saturday 10 December at Loyat… as at Bethlehem 2000 years ago. Lots of people answered to the invitation: the church was crowded with 500 people or so!

On Sunday 25 September 2016, the Daughters of the Holy Spirit were invited by the town council of Le Cellier, a town situated to the West of France, not far from Nantes, to take part in an impressive celebration: a representative of the Israeli Embassy was to award the Medal and Certificate of honor -the highest distinction used by the State of Israel- to four members of a local family, three of them posthumously.
The following days. We went to Medio Mundo, a village further north of Huaura. We visited the districts of San Martin and Santa Cruz, where Simone, Odile and Marité lived...
So here we are, it is a week now since we set foot on the Peruvian soil, -Bernadette coming from North Cameroon, Isabelle from France, Pascaline from Burkina Faso, after receiving our mission at Ile Blanche on 15 August…-. On 10 August 2017, 79 delegates coming from the USA, Chile, Peru, England, Wales, from France, Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Sisters, Consecrated Lay women and Associates gathered at Ile breathtakingly beautiful Ile Blanche.
The challenge of maintaining aid and solidarity here in order to support projects over there is always a reality. The projects presented in preceding bulletins are beginning to bear fruit.
