BURKINA FASO
In support of the project “Women Rising to their feet” at Pharyiago
A project which started in 2007 with the arrival of the DHS
in the Bondigi department.
Objective : construction and equipment of a training centre for the promotion of women. Empowerment of women remains a priority. On some weekdays, a group of women come together for further education and training : healthcare prevention and education, agricultural development, the trade in natural resource products. In their turn, these women become “village promoters”, educating and training the women of the surrounding villages within a 25-30 km radius. 
One of the commercial activities : production of lemon syrup, a local natural resource as well as a source of income for the women. Lemon juice, ginger sugar and juice are cooked to make this syrup. Once bottled, it can be preserved and commercialised in the area.
Building and equipping a training centre for the promotion of women is a matter of great urgency so as to pursue the work underway
and develop new activities for the women, in 2008. Cost : 4375 euros.
PERU
San Franscico de Asis’training at Huaura 
San Franscico de Asis’training Centre was created in 2001 in San Antonio parish, at Huaura, some 150 km to the North of Lima to respond to the needs of education men and women, young people and adults were lacking in.
Social agents actively and diversely involved in the society take part in this formation : Organising young people. Fighting against poverty, agronomic organisations. The main difficulty is the lack of economic resources to meet the expenses such activities incur.
Project :
Construction of new workrooms for the training centre (the building site has already been purchased) Purchase of furniture, office and maintenance equipment. Cost : 11000 euros.
