Since three hundred years
Today in fidelity to their origins, the Daughters of the Holy Spirit still keep in mind that ''there is no mission without adoration, without calling upon the Spirit to renew the face of the world''.

  |  On 8 December 1706, at the port of the Légué , in the bay of Saint Brieuc, two women of humble origin, Marie Balavenne and Renée Burel committed themselves to live together and to devote themselves to the service of the poor, the sick and the children.   |  From the beginning, the DHS devoted themselves to serve : the poor in the rural areas the sick in their homes the children in ''charitable schools'', in numerous local state-schools and in day nurseries the needy in ''charitable bureaus'' and workshops.
