To know more The Daughters of the Holy Spirit are a religious congregation born in 1706. The foundresses lived simply among the people, for the service of God, the poor, the sick, the children.
They had a special devotion to the Holy Spirit. In a spirit of simplicity and openness, of sharing and prayer, the sisters still live in small communities among the people.
Always ready to welcome whoever knocks at their door, they try to be attentive to the voice of the Holy Spirit and to discern its calls. In collaboration with associations, NGO, various groups and networks, they commit themselves to foster justice and mutual love. In Church, the Daughters of the Holy Spirit contribute to the birth and growth of communities which live by the Gospel.
In the Spirit of Pentecost, the Daughters of the Holy Spirit strive to be creative and to dare new ventures in response to today's needs. They welcome among them "Lay Associates", have just founded a group of "Consecrated Seculars" and continue to live in close proximity to the least favoured. Present in thirteen countries, they strive to develop their internationality through greater communication and exchanges. Wherever they live, the Daughters of the Holy Spirit strive to open, with others, a pathway of hope.
