From the International Council of Consecrated Seculars
From May 15-21, the annual Council of Consecrated Seculars took place in Northampton, in the Provincial House, in an atmosphere of “exquisite” hospitality.
It was great joy for us to share between ourselves the new dinamism we all received thanks to the deepening and approval of the new Statutes.
The vitality of the whole, the contribution of the new candidates who committed themselves and the fine testimony of fidelity of the seniors, comforted us in that form of consecrated life. It was a good thing for us to confront what we are living in the regions with what the texts of our Statutes say through: - initial formation implemented by Christiane Rannou and Sally Tolles, - the situation of the seniors, - the concern of the ones for the others as far as administrative or legal procedures are concerned, communication between regions through modern means which results in fewer comings and goings.
The final present came from two women from Wales, Anne Bushy and Ann Marshland celebrating their entry in the stage of integration to become Consecrated Seculars. As Pioneers in the Secular Branch of the United Kingdom, they now join the French group which becomes the European region.
