In 1926, Pius XI was pope. That same year, on March 17, 1926, in Lewiston, Maine, USA, Fleurette Patricia Marie BLAIS was born. <\/strong>As a young woman, she worked as a florist in her parents\u2019 flower shop. Seeking a deeper relationship with the Lord, she entered the Daughters of the Holy Spirit in 1960. Her religious name was<\/strong> Sister. Marie Stella<\/strong>. When the sisters were able to return to their baptismal names, she took the name Sr. Patricia Blais.<\/strong><\/p>\n Sr. Pat taught in the primary grades in Vermont, Connecticut and Massachusetts until 1989.\u00a0 She then began ministering as a home care provider in Vermont, retiring in 2001.
