Then the committee &#8220;Updating the Rule of Life&#8221; presented the work carried out by the various subcommittees and the means taken to complete the work that was requested of them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The time of the Council of Congregation proper began on April 18. The animators, Father Yago ABELEDO, missionary of Africa, Sister Selina MBULI, Sister of Mercy, invited us to enter into the dynamic of the Council through several symbols:<br \/>&#8211; The ritual of crossing the threshold of the gateway to the Holy Land, symbolizing the recognition of the sacred and the realization that wehe ritua are not separate islands. We were invited to remove our shoes as a sign of respect for the earth that we trample, which symbolizes letting go by entering, vulnerable and open, into this &#8220;holy land.<br \/>&#8211; The stones symbolizing the weight of our trials and the challenges of our missions.<br \/>&#8211; The threads of different colors representing the gifts of the Spirit, hope and love.\u00a0\u00a0 Each of us was invited to take a stone and a thread. These symbols allowed us to share our joys, experiences, wishes and hopes with confidence.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To bring us into the depth of the theme of the chapter: <strong><em>&#8220;transformed by the Spirit, to love and serve,&#8221;<\/em><\/strong> the facilitators relied on the transformation model of the butterfly. They gave us a presentation on <strong>&#8220;the model of wisdom&#8221;<\/strong> according to Father Richard ROHR. It is a spiritual approach centered on the inner transformation and that of nature, inviting to a true transformation through three stages: order, disorder\/dissonance and re-order. These three steps allowed us to revisit and reread our own experiences and the realities of our Units. The animators also told us about the ecosystem living in synodality that calls for a deep journey of transformation, to walk together and become a synodal congregation. It shows that this process requires five important adaptations or elements: spiritual conversion, relational conversion, procedural conversion, institutional conversion and missionary conversion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At the end of the Council of Congregation, this pedagogical approach based on the butterfly transformation model allowed us to descend into the depths of ourselves, to see our personal and collective wounds, to experience an inner dynamic, to listen to the Spirit who speaks in us, to express ourselves in all truth in mutual trust, to look deeply and with full clarity at the realities, important questions, appeals and challenges of our Congregation in today\u2019s world. All the fruits of our exchanges were brought into prayers as well as in daily Eucharisties.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">May the Holy Spirit lead us on the path of conversion, of true transformation and of &#8220;journey together&#8221; to love and serve.
