The handover ceremony took place in the community chapel in Koudougou – BURKINA FASO –<\/strong>, at the end a beautiful Eucharistic celebration, just after communion: Sister Silvie ROAMBA, who is finishing her term as Vice provincial, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to God and his sisters in the vice-province, intoning a song of thanksgiving: “Yes, praised be God who can write straight on curved lines, and who leads us through winding paths to accomplish his purposes of life.”<\/em><\/p>\n And the handover took place as follows: Sister Silvie ROAMBA and her Council handed over the torch to Sister Fatoumata Delphine DA and her Council with the symbol of wearing the apron, showing that each one is taking up duty at this moment!<\/strong> Each one received a lit candle that represents Christ, the Light of the world: together they will guide their sisters so that this Light may illuminate decisions and searches for the good of all, in fidelity to our spiritual heritage. Then, Sister Silvie gave the new Vice-Provincial, Sister Fatoumata, a Crucifix, saying: “I do not wish you the cross, but this new responsibility will lead you to contemplate the cross in order to find an answer to situations were, with your Council, it will be necessary to sow the seed!”<\/em>\u00a0 A broom was also handed over that shows the importance of teamwork because, according to an adage: “One hand cannot pick up flour: you need both hands; and one twig cannot sweep: you need several.”<\/em>\u00a0Each sister is called to play her part for a beautiful harmony.
