On 27 August 2023, at nine o’clock in the morning, we met at the house of Don Oriones in the city of Antofagasta – Chile.\u00a0 What a joy it was to meet up again with my dear ESF group, and even more so with some of my associate sisters whom I hadn’t seen for a long time. We prayed for all the sick who have been entrusted to us, then we continued reading and reflecting on the guidelines and ended our day sharing a delicious tea prepared by some of our members. \nThanks be to God and the Holy Spirit, seeing and feeling them happy and healthy made me very happy, because we all have personal and family health problems in one way or another, but when we meet, everything is forgotten and we renew our energies.
\nI’m also grateful that Sister Doris is always with us, that she accompanies us: having worked a lot on today’s subject, she made us understand that we must forgive and be a burning lamp and a light for others. What I received that day, I’m going to keep and put into practice… To be a light for the world, to keep the lamp burning.
\nOne thing that strengthens me in difficult times is reading about the sending of the Holy Spirit, it strengthens me when I need it most.
\n“We are little lamps that we need to fill with small gestures, like a smile…”.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\u00a0<\/strong>In Santiago<\/strong><\/h5>\n
\nReflecting on the Guidelines, I would like to highlight the following: “At the beginning, these lines nourished us thanks to the founders Maria Balavenne and Ren\u00e9e Burel, they were our roots, the basis, it is important to know where we come from.\u00a0 We all have a history as associates, we are part of the Congregation of the Daughters of the Holy Spirit …”. Without roots we cannot nourish ourselves, live and give life”.<\/p>\n
