• Pope Francis’ Visit to Ireland

    In a letter addressed to the People of Ireland on 30 August, Pope Francis wrote: “I am excited at the thought of returning to Ireland.” In 1980, as a young Jesuit priest, he came to learn English in Ireland, and his experience there obviously left him with happy memories. The specific reason for his recent visit to Ireland was to attend the Ninth World Meeting of Families, a Vatican-sponsored event which takes place every three years in different countries, and on this occasion, it was held in Ireland.

  • 30 years in the service of the Congrégation

    On the 15th of September 2018 was held, at the generalate of the Daughters of the Holy Spirit in Rennes, France, a beautiful party: Agnés Rozé was celebrated for her 30 years of service with the Congregation as a technical and communications secretary.

    Helping the youth give meaning to their life, has become a strong pastoral approach in the heart of the Church... It is in this sense that the chaplaincy of the youth of Doukoula organized, from the 24th to the 26th of August 2018, in the parish of “Notre Dame des Lumières” (Our Lady of the Lights) of Touloum, a vocational camp having for subject of reflexion: "Speak, for your servant is listening" (1 Sam 3,10).

    I received my obedience to come and join the school community of St. Francis Catholic Secondary school in July 20013. St. Francis School is a school owned and managed by the Jesuits congregation situated in Lagos State, Nigeria.

    From the 17th to 22nd of July, the youth gathered at Garoua for their 4th NYD under this word of the Gospel: "Fear not, Mary, you have found favour with the Lord" (Lc 1, 30).

    Since April, Marin, a two years old golden retriever, has been delighting the residents of the DHS nursing home of Saint Brieuc, France. And for good reason: the dog, by his presence, brings smiles and cheerfulness within the structure.


  • 25 Years of God’s faithfulness and love.

    The silver Jubilee Celebration of our three sisters Priscilla Madumere, Sister Anthonia Ayeni and Sister. Mary Abodunrin began on the 7th of September, 2018, the eve of the celebration. Gathered together for this great occasion were the Daughters of the Holy Spirit family, sisters from other religious congregations, families of the celebrants, friends, parishioners and well-wishers.

  • Another step of faith

    It was indeed another step of faith as six young women -Abuka Grace, Ameh Peace, Ewereoke Lydia, Ogungbenle Felicia, Olawoyin Busayo and Oloruntoba Ann- were received into the novitiate on the 8th September, 2018 in the Vice Province of Nigeria.

    Ø Project: To install a submerged solar pump in view of providing drinkable water to the benefit of the inhabitants of the sector. Ø Cost of the project: 6,250 €

    To create a solidarity fund to help with the cost of schooling and the purchase of school supplies or books : 4850 €

  • Cameroon

    Ø Project: - To complete the construction of a building containing three classrooms at the Formation Centre. - To acquire the necessary equipment for formation: tables, benches, chairs, cabinets, sewing machines, cooking utensils… Ø Cost of the project: 11,300 €

    Ø Project: To continue what was begun in 2017, financing the education of young, disadvantaged students for the 2018 school year. To help buy uniforms, books and school supplies for these students. Ø Cost of the project: 2,000 €
