Another step of faith

It was indeed another step of faith as six young women -Abuka Grace, Ameh Peace, Ewereoke Lydia, Ogungbenle Felicia, Olawoyin Busayo and Oloruntoba Ann- were received into the novitiate on the 8th September, 2018 in the Vice Province of Nigeria.

The newly received novices in response to the Holy Spirit at work in them shared their experiences and the goodness of God in their lives since Aspirancy stage till date using Broom made from Palm Tree as their symbol.

In their reflection, they shared that Palm tree is a fruitful tree that survives in any season of the year. This for them is an invitation to be rooted in the love and grace of God who will sustain them in their moments of joy and sorrow; He alone will make them fruitful and productive in their chosen vocation. Broom which is one of the products of palm tree was also used as a sign of unity in their diversity.

Speaking at the reception, Sr. Monica Anyi, The Vice Provincial, admonished the new novices and all present to live in unity as it is fitting for Christ and to continue to find joy in following Jesus and working in His ways.

Chanting the Magnificat was for them a moment of entrusting themselves to Mary to continue interceding for them as they begin their journey of faith.
