Ten new Associates
After a journey of about five years, on Sunday 19th December 2021, in Doukoula, Cameroon, in the Church, ten women had the joy of living more fully the grace of their baptism by committing themselves as Associates of the Daughters of the Holy Spirit: GASNE Isabelle, MAIBLAME Jacqueline, MAIKAOLARA Jacqueline, MAINDARNE Elisabeth, MAISSENSO Hortense, MAIYASSO Rebecca, MATTA Madeleine, NDAOKAI Suzanne, TCHEGADWA Catherine and TEPA Jeanne.
They have made this commitment to bring their share of comfort, to be closer to people in distress in their environment: children, abused women, elderly people, disabled people, abused refugees.
After the homily, these ten future associates of the DHS made their commitment before Sister Angèle HARANGA SILIKAM, Vice Provincial of Cameroon. After the homily, these ten future associates of the ESF made their commitment before Sister Angèle HARANGA SILIKAM, Vice Provincial of Cameroon. One could feel the silence in the church of Doukoula when each of these women said, in her Tupuri language or in French, a few words from her life of commitment to entrust them in prayer. The faithful sang in chorus as a response: "In joy you send us, Lord, to build bridges and destroy walls".
It was a very beautiful celebration, with a huge crowd composed of the faithful of Doukoula, other Associates of the Daughters of the Holy Spirit and the families of the Associates. Thank you to all those who fraternally assisted in the preparation, organisation and realisation of this beautiful celebration full of joy, emotions, encounters and discoveries for the committed laity of the distant parishes.
