Formation Centre for Women.
In the Touroua region of Cameroon, the rate of school attendance among girls is always poor (around 50%). Young girls are still victims of premature and forced marriage. This violence regarding adolescent girls impedes the development of their intellectual, social and economic capacities.
For the school year 2017/2018, there are 80 young women, ages 15-35 years old, who are registered at the Center.
Ø Project: - To complete the construction of a building containing three classrooms at the Formation Centre. - To acquire the necessary equipment for formation: tables, benches, chairs, cabinets, sewing machines, cooking utensils…
Ø Objective: To give the students an apprenticeship in small profitable trades in view of their socio-professional integration.
Ø Expressed needs:
• Completion of the work of equipping a building of 3 classrooms: 8,500 €
• Purchase of equipment for the classrooms and workshop: 2,800 €
Ø Cost of the project: 11,300 €
