The community of the Daughters of the Holy Spirit of Huaura, in PERU, thanks the whole Congregation for accompanying us at this moment of joy and sadness.
The joy is what each sister has been able to give by giving the best of herself to accompany the Peruvian people since 1976 -that is to say during 46 years of presence of the Daughters of the Holy Spirit in this blessed land- … and joy also of the love received from our people of easy relationship: its welcome, its openness, its brotherly and affectionate love, its popular faith and its unity! The pride of its culture and the strong respect for its tradition are reflected in its music, dance and festivities.
In these difficult moments of closure of the community of Huaura, the only one that has remained open to this day, we have the comfort of the fraternal support of our Superior General, Sister Ann ALMODOVAR, and of Sister Thérèse LE DENMAT who was with us for 13 years.
In the sadness of the definitive departure of the Congregation to Latin America, we were comforted to see that the spiritual Family will continue to germinate the seeds sown by the presence, to this day, of 89 Associates (50 in Peru – 39 in Chile), and of 12 Consecrated Seculars (2 in Peru – 10 in Chile)!
We thank all the people who have provided financial support to help groups in their activities and projects… to be thus able to rescue the most vulnerable people of our dear village: we have received so much recognition and thanks thanks to your generosity! Many thanks.
