Sheparticipated in the Notre Dame Church choir and was a member and past presidentof the Ladies of St. Anne and an Associate Member of the Daughters of the Holy Spirit. After volunteering at Notre Dame School while her children were young, she worked for many years at Mt Carmel Retreat Center in Williamstown MA as secretary and bookkeeper. After retiring, she volunteered for many years at Berkshire Medical Center, St. Joseph's Church, and Elder Services.
