On Saturday, September 26, 2026, we had the joy of being welcomed as new novices, all 4 from Burkina Faso. We share with you the experience of this new stage of our official entry into the novitiate.
For this official entry, we began with an Ignatian retreat, guided by Sister Pauline Maïssenso, the mistress of the novitiate. Immersed in a deep silence, we were inspired by the Holy Spirit during our meditations and contemplations with the aim of better knowing Christ, in order to love him more. This is how, to better live this time of novitiate, we were enlightened on certain points of our lives. Fresh off the mountain, we joined our sisters for the preparations of the celebration. With the help of Sister Pauline, we prepared the prayer and the decoration. In the evening, everyone was installed in the chapel and ourselves, dressed in our new outfits, ready in front of the chapel.
In a brief and simple prayer program, we were joyfully welcomed by the novitiate community, taking one step further on our journey towards the love of Christ by receiving the cross that the sisters carry and the Rule of Life from the hands of Sister Catherine MAMMA, Vice-Provincial of the Daughters of the Holy Spirit of Cameroon.
Animated by immense joy, we continued the thanksgiving with a fraternal aperitif prepared by our valiant sisters. It was an opportunity for us to express our joy and gratitude to all through dance steps.
We give thanks to God for all his wonders.
