Centre d’Eveil et d’Education Saint-Esprit

The Centre d’Eveil et d’Education Saint-Esprit in Koudougou, Burkina Faso, celebrated the end of the school year on 31 May 2025 with joy and pride.

First and foremost, we gave thanks for a successful school year. The children, dressed in their most beautiful outfits, put on a colourful show with a variety of presentations. Through poetry, dance, drama and magical games, they celebrated their learning and their friendships. A dance troupe from Nanoro also took part in the ceremony with a marvellous performance that amazed the children.

The headmistress, Sister Eugénie Palenfo, thanked the monitors and parents for their collaboration and support; she also expressed her gratitude to Sister Silvie Roamba, vice-provincial of the Daughters of the Holy Spirit, for her comforting presence.  The vice-provincial, in turn, thanked the director and her staff. She invited parents to continue to support the projects of the nursery and primary school, which will reopen its doors at the start of the new school year. She ended her speech by wishing them God’s blessing, and the children and staff a happy holiday. The parents’ representative thanked all the staff for their hard work in ensuring that the children made good progress, and presented each of them with a symbolic gift.
The closing ceremony was followed by a fraternal meal shared with the children and guests.

I loved and appreciated the atmosphere of this celebration, which was a testament to the emotion and joy shared by everyone. I hope that the children of the Centre d’Eveil et d’Education Saint-Esprit continue to grow with enthusiasm, intelligence, and wisdom.
