On Sunday, January 25, 2026, the 69th World Missionary Childhood Day took place. This day was celebrated in the parish with a strong participation of children…
This same date of January 25 was chosen by our community of Koudougou – BURKINA FASO-, to be the day of awakening to religious life. The parish of St. John Bosco, home to the school chaplaincy, was chosen as the location for this pastoral activity, receiving a warm welcome from the priest and his team. Well settled, we could gather inwardly and start by living the Eucharistic celebration.
At the end of the celebration, we were invited to take the floor to discuss the purpose of our visit which was, on the one hand, our presentation and, on the other hand, the presentation of the congregation: its charism, its spirituality, our apostolic insertions and the stages of formation.
Our meeting revolved around three points: – the meeting with young women grouped in different movements, – interesting and fruitful exchanges with young girls, thus signifying our closeness, – the quality of the questions and attention allowing us to achieve the goal of the day.
Then, at the invitation of our guests, we took part in the fair they were organizing.
At the end of this day of visit and awakening to religious life in the parish of St. John Bosco, we joined the community with a hope that these meetings will bear fruit in the hearts of these young people… for the times to come.
