Ministry:
Dede was employed by the State of California in the Legislative Bill room at the State Capitol before transferring to the State Talking Book Library, where she served as a Reader Advisor until her retirement. She happily took up several ministries at the parish, serving for many years as extraordinary minister of Communion to the home bound. Another ministry she carried on until just the last few weeks before she was hospitalized was “taxi” service for older parishioners who needed a lift to church. This included Sunday and daily Mass. For several years, Dede was the only reader at daily Masses.
