“Move your planet”

Every year, the chaplaincies of the middle schools of the city of Noisy le Grand -France- live a strong time with the CCFD-Terre Solidaire, “Move your planet”.

This year, we focused our reflection on respect for the common home with extracts from the encyclical “Laudato Si'”, by Pope Francis. Valerie, a facilitator for the fourth grade classes, gives an overview here.

“Ecology in everyday life: let’s act!
“The earth, our common home, seems to be turning more and more into a huge garbage dump,” Pope Francis tells us in his encyclical “Laudato Si”. It is in the light of different extracts of this encyclical that 65 young people from the chaplaincies of the colleges of our Parish Unit met this afternoon at Ste Thérèse des Richardets, for the “Move your Planet”. From the 4 themes proposed: green spaces, waste, consumerism, cell phones, they were able to analyze their behavior, measure the impact on the environment, on other populations and made a commitment to have an eco-responsible behavior in their daily lives through the solutions they suggested.
The young people were happy with their afternoon.

With the CCFD Terre Solidaire, the college chaplaincies will “Move the Planet” for the future! Valerie
