October missionary month, month of the rosary, month dedicated to Mary!
In the atmosphere of this missionary month, the community of the “Foyer Marie Balavenne”, in Diébougou, BURKINA FASO, had the joy of welcoming the ‘Pilgrim Virgin’ within its walls, on October 25, in the community chapel.
His welcome made the happiness of the girls of the Foyer who manifested it by songs, dances, shouts of joy and a moment of prayer together that same night! Throughout the day of Sunday, the Virgin was accompanied by individual passages of prayer and personal offerings, of our most dear intentions written and deposited in a basket near her statue. The day ended with the prayer of the rosary in communion with our parish sector. The prayer was animated by the daughters of the Foyer: it was a moment of elevation of our souls, our desires, our personal worries, family and country, our burdens, our joys of the school year and all that we carry at heart to the Lord through Mary.
We note the presence of a priest, nuns, lay faithful, all the members of the community and the girls of the Center. We ended the prayer with the quest, a few words of this event followed by the final blessing. In conclusion, the girls of the Center and some members of the sector accompanied the Virgin in procession, candles in hand, to another family, with songs of thanksgiving, praise and dances.
The participants believe that they entrusted themselves to the maternal affection of the Virgin, which translated into the satisfaction and atmosphere that animated them and that could be read on everyone’s faces.
Mary, our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us!
