A successful end to the school year

On 31st July 2025, Maryland Catholic Nursery and Primary School Ogbomoso, NIGERIA, held a grand graduation, prize-giving and end of year thanksgiving ceremony, marking a successful academic session.

The event began with a Holy Mass officiated by Very Rev Fr Samson Ojo, Dean of Ogbomoso Deanery, and Rev Fr Ferdinand Olabode, School Chaplain.
In his homily, Fr Ferdinand emphasized gratitude, urging the 29 graduating pupils to remain thankful for the knowledge and values instilled in them. A joyful thanksgiving procession followed, with pupils presenting gifts as souvenirs:  sets of chairs to the school. Rev Fr Ojo representing the Catholic Bishop of Oyo Most Rev Emmanuel Badejo, congratulated the 29 graduating pupils and encouraged them to remain focused on the training they have received so far. He also urged the parents to sustain their children’s moral upbringing.
The valedictory ceremony featured cultural performances, songs and award presentations for academic and extra-curricular excellence. The school Administrator Sr Patience Effiong DHS praised the graduating class for their diligence and thanked the school Proprietor Most Rev Emmanuel Badejo for all his fatherly support to the school. She equally thanked the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of the school for their support and encouragement.

The celebration came to an end with the cutting of the graduation cake by the graduating pupils joined by others, while the closing remark was given by the head-teacher Mrs Roseline Alabi.

The event highlighted the school commitment to holistic education and, leaving lasting memories for pupils, parents and guests.
