For more social and environmental justice
On October 4th, the DHS unit Chile-Peru (religious, secular branch and associates) celebrated the Eucharist “For more social and environmental justice in the world”. The Eucharist was presided over by Fr. Santiago Vallebuona, S.J., commemorating the 10th anniversary (2015-2025) of Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si’.
This event took place via the virtual platform Zoom with more than 40 people located in their homes or premises, either individually or in groups. Small altars were built in each place with images, flowers, bread, grapes, fabrics, candles and other significant objects.
Each community in a representative way actively participated in the different moments of the mass as planned. The excellent choir of Antofagasta was directed by Julia Labra. Without a doubt, there was much affection and spiritual search for the depth of the messages, the songs, the embrace of peace, communion and missionary sending in an atmosphere of faith and hope.
Finally, filled with joy, we end our celebration by offering our thanks to the Father, to the Son and to the Holy Spirit as well as to our Blessed Mother Mary for keeping us alive and thus being able to continue working for the reign of justice, peace and love, here and now.
