Dear friends in humanity and faith, in this festive period of the Christmas celebrations 2025 and the New Year 2026, I would like to share with you this message from Sister Marie Marcelle DESMARAIS, director and trainer at the Institute of Integral Human Formation of Montreal.
Woman with a heart of fire and love, she traveled to 42 countries with strong security challenges, making her contribution to rekindling the fire of love in the hearts of people whose hope was snatched by various evils.
This year, his message to his students and to the Nations, would like to further awaken our social conscience so that everyone at their level, in the environment where they are, brings their flame of love to ignite hearts of love and peace. For me, NEW Lydia, Daughter of the Holy Spirit, student in this international institute, I received this message at the heart of our charism which, at this time of Christmas, invites me to love Jesus who has incarnated himself in our wounded humanity and who needs our comfort and closeness. In these days, may our love decisions become Christmas gifts!
Here is the message from Marie Marcelle DESMARAIS.
«A small message of presence in these eve days! Christmas is approaching. On earth, how many people suffer in various ways! In each of our countries, how much suffering is also present. We want to support one another. But how to do it?…
Become aware of our riches, however small they may be, and decide to share them, would it be a path of light in these difficult times? May I wish not to remain prisoners or captives of my riches and the sufferings that are at the heart of my life in order to seek how to support my neighbors and carry with them their bag of travel?
His choice requires a lot of courage and love. Loving while wanting to lend a helping hand to the one who is weakening… Yes, love by offering to help him carry his road bag. Such a choice requires looking for ways to lighten the weight… of my neighbor’s bag and my own bag.
While writing these words, I remember Jesus of Nazareth who put our cross on His shoulders. He walked. He fell. He stood up. And he walked again until the end! Is this the choice that is asked of us? At the end of His walk, Jesus gave us the courage to walk as well and to support those who need our momentum to continue their journey.
Let’s observe our road neighbors! What do we see? What signs of life or discouragement do they give us?
Humanity needs us to look to see and perceive what our neighbors are suffering from. May love support us and let’s not back down! If these decisions were our gift of love at Christmas?”
