The Christmas celebration for children of the Saint-Esprit Early Childhood Education and Development Center in Koudougou, BURKINA FASO, took place on December 20, 2025, in a festive atmosphere…
The toddlers of kindergarten and the schoolchildren of CP1 arrived all cheerful, accompanied by their parents. The ceremony began at 8 a.m. with an opening prayer followed by a welcome from the director, Sister Eugénie P ALENFO.
This festive time was composed of a parade of CP1 students, each wearing a traditional costume of their choice, followed by a Nativity mime presented by the main section accompanied by the choir ‘angel voices’ from kindergarten; poems were proclaimed: one by the middle section with the title ‘my country’, and the others by the small section including ‘the tomato’, ‘I am proud’ and ‘my in-laws’. Most of the subjects addressed by these poems were patriotic. The day was punctuated by dances, sketches and playback revealing the talents of the children of CP1 and the toddlers. After these performances, they all received gifts from ‘Santa Claus’. That’s how the ceremony ended.
It was a very beautiful and pleasant celebration for all the children and us for those of us who accompanied them. I was proud of them: I really appreciated their childlike nature, amazed by the smile on everyone’s face. God bless them!
