DHS Solidarity Projects

Charity, “a gift and a call” RL 2, that is always relevant.

It all begins with the simplest of gestures!

Simple gestures that become charitable acts, which gradually soothe, console, heal, transform, and ultimately give life!

Gestures so simple, yet sometimes carrying far the weight of generosity and solidarity, renewing within us a spirit of family and a dynamic missionary boldness.

It is impossible to stop along the way, for we are witnessing the emergence of new forms of poverty and the growth of inequalities that directly affect vulnerable and marginalized people. The first apostolic exhortation of Pope Leo XIV, “Dilexit Te”, comes to us like an echo, reminding us of the urgency to listen more attentively to this world, to be present in order to discern its fractures and its vital forces—those that provide energy, sustain hope, and kindle our inner faith. He invites us to renew our sense of solidarity and fraternity.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity and trust. This continuing charity touches us deeply, and we sincerely thank you. Your donations have enabled us to extend your momentum of generosity into seeds of hope for others, elsewhere in the world. A bond that unites you with our Congregation has thus become a universal bond, directed toward all those who struggle ardently against hunger, great exclusion, climate disruptions, wars, and injustices.

You will be glad to know what has been accomplished through this “common gesture”.

The reports received from each Unit of the Congregation give us a glimpse of the multiplication of «our two breads and five fishes» Mt 14:13–21.

With your help, the sisters have provided adapted and lasting solutions to allow «those who are in greater distress» (RL 18 c) to emerge from their precariousness and to regain their dignity, in respecting the cultures and beliefs of each one.

Serving the humble has always been, for us, Daughters of the Holy Spirit, the surest way to find God in our brothers and sisters, recognizing in them the person of Jesus Christ, the living source of life.

May this new momentum lead us further into our respective worlds and allow us to draw life from what our brothers and sisters live and share, «so that, in Jesus Christ, all may have life in abundance» RL 50.
