‘The Spirit leads believers in faith and love to make them new beings in Jesus Christ’ (Rule of Life No. 39)
The liturgical celebration of our first religious profession took place on Saturday, 30 August 2025, in the chapel of the Vice-Province in Galdima-Maroua, Cameroon, presided over by Christoph IDRISSA, Vicar General of the Diocese of Maroua-Mokolo. In his homily, the preacher encouraged us to return to Christ in order to revitalise and deepen our identity as Daughters of the Holy Spirit and to be attentive to the voice of the Spirit through others.
During these four years, we have allowed ourselves to be led by the Holy Spirit in following Christ. Our journey has been marked by joy, peace and inner freedom. The formation we have received and the experiences we have had in the communities during the various stages have enabled us to grow further in our faith and to move forward despite the difficulties we have encountered. Our riches and our fragilities have allowed us to know ourselves better and to rely on Jesus who called us as we are. We give thanks to God for the gift of our lives and our vocation. This day and this date will remain forever engraved in our lives and our history within our congregation and will mark an unforgettable moment in our spiritual journey. We were happy to be surrounded on this day of celebration and joy by our sisters in the Vice-Province of Cameroon and the General Councillor, Sister Olga, by our parents, our families, our friends and acquaintances, the priests and pastors of the Church, the parishes and some of the faithful of the Christ Sauveur parish in Domayo, Maroua.
After Sister Angèle HARANGA SILIKAM, Vice-Provincial, welcomed our vows, we felt ourselves to be members of the great FSE spiritual family. We were sent on mission to Cameroon (the two Cameroonians) and Burkina Faso (the two Burkinabés).
We are grateful to all those who have trained, guided, supported and encouraged us in our lives. We humbly rely on Christ, on prayer and on the support of our sisters so that together we may form a ‘House of Charity’ and that our mission may bear fruit.
